Hotel Tricks

Room Choice: While booking or at the time of check-in, politely request a room with windows facing the courtyard or side, and not towards the main road No. 36. The soundproofing is average in this hotel and so is the traffic in Hyderabad which hardly stops even at nights; therefore, a room ‘with city view’ may actually translate into sleepless night because of constant honking.

Use the Metro: The hotel is on the Metro’s “Golden Mile.” Do not waste time and money on a cab during peak hours (9 to 11 AM and 6 to 9 PM), as traffic jams in Jubilee Hills are terrible, and explain to you why parallel roads do not work in this part of town! The Metro will get you shopping (Inorbit, Sarath City) or into the old city much faster. Buy a smart card or use QR tickets via WhatsApp to save time.

Food: Do not focus on the hotel restaurant. Literally around the corner are some of the best restaurants in the city. Rayalaseema Ruchulu (spicy regional cuisine) and Chutneys (famous South Indian breakfasts and dosas) both serve real Hyderabadi biryani, and they are both very close by.

Souvenirs or branded items do not have to be bought from far away. There are many shops near the hotel. For more serious shopping, it is better to travel a couple of Metro stations up to the "Hitech City" or "Durgam Cheruvu" stations where giant malls are located.
